The central library, known as Dalmia College Library, was established with a small number of books in the foundation year 1970 of the college. The library is the hub of all academic activities providing access to acknowledge and information to the college community. It has spacious reading halls and compact stack area. Presently the Library holds 28,000 books in general section and 5,000 books in book bank. The library also provides access to different online journals which may be browsed and downloaded. The library also subscribes to 04 daily newspapers and 12 reputed magazines. The library is using open source Library Management System (LMS) and has implemented different technologies that are used most commonly in university libraries: Barcodes, RFID and IoT for smooth functioning of its circulation operations. The college library is WiFi enabled 24x7 and is under CCTV surveilliance.The library serves its users (both students and staff members) from 10 A.M. to 4.00 P.M on all working days.
1. Students are allowed to borrow books as per quota for a period of 7 days only at a time.
2. Students are required to submit requisition for books mentioning title and author of the books one day before their due date.
3. No underlining or dog-earing shall be made on any book.
5. Any picture or page of the books should not be removed.
6. Periodicals, magazines, newspapers, journals are not issued to the students.
7. The books from the Book Bank are issued to poor and meritorious students. They are issued for one academic year on payment of 1/10th of the actual cost of the book.
